The Daiwa Tanacom Z rod is a high-quality fishing rod specifically designed for electric reels, making it a popular choice for anglers targeting large deepwater fish species. Daiwa’s GLATECH construction is utilized to build the TANACOM Z blanks, a unique process that lays linear fiberglass sheet over a carbon blank. This provides the shock-absorbing properties of a fiberglass blank while avoiding the increase in weight and loss of sensitivity. The carbon core blank uses X45 technology, where 45-degree carbon is laid in both directions to eliminate twisting, which is crucial for dendoh rods. Additionally, Fuji’s heavy-duty boat guides, featuring SiN II ceramic inserts, are incredibly robust and smooth, capable of handling extreme pressure from heavy braided line during prolonged fights with large fish. To control line flow from the rod tip and minimize heat build-up, an ALPS heavy-duty swivelling roller tip is also installed.
